About Us

JHA was created in the spring of 2025, by a very predictable millennial woman; trying in the difficult times to help Earth in the ways she could! The beginning of this journey starts with a passion for animals-big, small; ugly and tall!

As an owner of what some would call "gross" or "exotic" (to be nice) I always wanted to help the oddballs as much as I could. I would donate to marine life rescues and other wildlife efforts as I could but, always wanted to do more! I never had a huge interest in bugs aside from the few spiders as pets! I did always have an interest in bees!

The life of a beekeeper always fascinated me. How do they not get stung? Do they just not care? Do the bees care? The questions I had then, I know now were nothing at all what beekeeping would be about! 

I installed my first package of bees in May of 2025 and it has been such an amazing way to gain knowledge on a small subject that is so important to our life but people are so afraid of! My bees are nice ladies and I like to think they like me as much as I like them-even though we're always getting to know each other! 

Now the hunger to help more and more drives me on; I have small patches of native plants all around the property my colony is on. I have hydration stations and I can't find enough ways to help our bugs!

JHA also loves charity! Each month a different nonprofit charity organization is chosen that helps our wildlife and native pollinators. 10¢ from each order during that month will be donated!
